We still made the most of the day and did a hike at Beauvais Lake to Piney Point and back. We didn't see any bears there either, although at the entrance they had a sign posted that said "Bear in The Area!" Much easier landscape to hike on.

This was our dinner: Shrimp and steak kabobs loaded with fresh veggies. This picture makes my mouth water.

We parked the van on the side of the road and biked 20 km into Beauvais Lake and back. It was so beautiful and quiet and it smelled so nice. These were just a few pics along our ride.

Beautiful Mountains.

It was really funny how the day went. We did so much. Everytime we looked at our watch we thought....now what are we going to do? It is truly amazing how much you can accomplish in a day when you don't have kids. I had forgotten what that was like. It was also kinda neat saying... "Hey, you wanna do this?" and saying "Yes!" instantly without reviewing three little one's daily schedules in my mind. When we got back from our hike and bike ride we went for another quad ride, had our kabobs and had another fire at the creek.

It's great to get away and just be yourself, isn't it?! Kids are great but you can do things in a different way when you it's just the 2 of you. I agree - the alternative hike was a way better option than the first one! Yummy supper. And the bike ride totally reminds me of all the biking you and Mel did in the Valley. You were the one to introduce her to mountain biking, I think!
