Summer's end random.

Luke had the honor of being the ring bearer for Tara and Derek's wedding. He escorted Skyla and Simone down the isle. Melted a lot of hearts that day!

We had a park and Timmies date with Isaac's buddy Luke from school. Isaac was just a tad excited.

We hung out at the Devon bike park for an afternoon.

 

Ken and I had a datenight in the River Valley. Walked 10km then went out for appies.

We had an iced tea sale one hot afternoon and made $25. It was a hit with the neighbor kids.

Isaac's favorite bike ride in our neighborhood is to the bridge crossing the Anthony Henday. Lots of trucks honk and people wave.

 Lots of parks to choose from.

Who needs pets when we can check out muskrats, ducks and fish down the road.

 

This concludes are very eventful summer. Wow it was fun but super busy. When Luke had to write about his highlight of the summer at school he said collecting cans in the ditch for money and getting a slurpee was his favorite. Can you IMAGINE? Next year we are can collecting and slurpee slurping!!!

NS Girl's Trip

Emma and I were so thankful to go to NS for a week in August. It was a real girls getaway. We were spoiled rotten by Nana and Papa as usual. Emma did great on the airplane. Instead of being thankful for her own tv on the plane she demanded that she wanted different shows. She is a bit spoiled with Netflix at home and wasn't impresses with the lack of selection on the plane. Imagine....

We were thrilled to meet our newest niece who was so brand new that she was still in the hospital when we were there. Baby Hannah is so adorable.

We spent the long weekend at the cottage, my absolute favorite place!

Lots of cousins came by to visit and my Aunt Marlene.

These two are so sweet together! My special little niece Meisha and her little cousin Emma, like a little sister.

Emma and I had a week long girls getaway to NS this summer. It was a whirlwind of visiting and trying to take in the beauty that NS offers. We got to spend lots of time with Meisha which we are so thankful for. I adored watching these two play together, Emma followed Meisha around everywhere and Meisha took care of Emma like a big cousin/sister would. They made some great memories at the cottage and at Nana and Papa's house. I truly had such a great time and it was so relaxing having Meisha entertain Emma. Wish these two didn't live so far apart!
