Emma turns 4!

 

Our baby turned four April 23rd. She's growing up way to fast, as well as the rest of the crew. I asked Emma to not get any bigger and her response was " but I wanna get bigger like the guys (her brothers) and I wanna have more birthday parties."

She got a flashy bike helmet.

Ken took the boys to the dollar store and they got to pick out gifts for Emma. They chose markers, notebooks, craft stuff. They did great for a bunch of boys....I do think she received some hockey cards from one of them.

We had a birthday party with her little buddies and she loved it.

This tea set was a gift from us. I helped Emma paint it and then we baked it in the oven.

She also got a head band kit and we made lots of head bands together. Little girl you are such a blessing and mommy's little sidekick. You make things so fun and interesting in this household and just a bit girly. You love crafts, doing Daddy's hair, singing, going to the playground, shopping and being a bit bossy. You also know how to wrestle with the guys, play lego and cars, and fit right in with all your brothers. Happy Birthday Sunshine girl.

April 2016

My past neighbor and great friend from Coaldale was in Edmonton on her daughter's band trip. They had a pitstop at the mall for 1/2 the day so Gayle and I got to catch up. So lovely to see her.

Anticipating Spring weather, green grass and sunshine. These two cousins have become little bff's.

Family bike  ride in terwilligar on a Sunday night. So fun, lots of hills, river views, and a cool bridge.

This bike/walk bridge hangs underneath an Anthony Henday bridge over the North Saskatchewan River.

The Staff challenged the high school soccer team over lunch break one day. 2-1 in a shoot out with the Staff winning. So fun to watch!

PICS put on a learning carnival in April and staff and students worked really hard setting up the whole school to display what the students have been learning at school.

Andrew's class did "are you smarter than a fifth grader." Thankfully mommy made a lucky guess and actually beat Andrew on his question. The students won in the end!

Our mom and sisters annual shopping trip took place in Calgary in April too. So great to see all these wonderful ladies and to purchase some goodies.

The boys figured out all their hockey stats for the play offs.

Sam finished his first piano session and had his first recital.

Andrew completed his second session and his second recital. They are learning lots and it was so neat to watch them perform in front of an audience.

Last Time at the cabin

So sad as I added pictures to this post. Our last time at the cabin. A very fun and special chapter closing. We thoroughly enjoyed our last trip there and the conditions were amazing. The best we ever had.

We got 50cm of fresh snow in 24 hours. It just didn't stop!

Still had a few reading breaks but lots of skiing and free passes to use too!

I kept these two entertained with sled rides. Quite a work out hauling them around.

We went for a drive to lundbreck falls one afternoon.

We went to visit Karina and her twin babies. Emma getting some cuddles in.

Andrew's hockey team. Ken and some other dad's organized hockey for all these kids. Every Saturday they started at 6am. Half hour drive away. Pretty committed. Andrew is back row, far left.
