November 2015

Sam turned 9 years old this month. He had a combined pizza and bowling party with all the boys in his class. Sad to say but it was his first time bowling.

Pretty fun and a little loud bunch of boys.

Luke is reading more and more these days. I love when he reads to Emma and Isaac and so do they.

Emma got her ears pierced by Aunty Trixie.

I offered to take Dwayne and Trixie's kids for a few nights so they could get away. They have 6 kids. It was fun, a bit crowded, lots of food consumption...

Had our first big dump of snow. The kids were more then thrilled!

October 2015

Just enjoying the Fall colors. Our backyard.

Emma and I out for a Fall walk on the trails by our house.



September and October were super busy for me this year. I helped coach the school's cross country team. I absolutely loved it! Practices Monday's and Thursdays, and Jr meets on Tuesdays, and Sr. Meets on Wednesdays. I mostly helped with the highschool kids which included two of my nieces.

We went to Coaldale for Thanksgiving. The kids were pretty stoked packing their airsoft guns and pellets and bows and arrows. We had to make a quick trip to Cabellas before we hit the road.

We went for a nice walk with the kids to Indian Battle Park. It was such a beautiful Fall, I think it is my new favorite season!

Tracy and I had a thrift store shopping date and a drink at the local pub.

So our highschool crosscountry team did so great that 6 out of 8 of them made it to Provincials. I got to travel to Grande Prairie (1st time) which is 5-6 hours away from Edm. It was such a neat experience and the kids did great.

Everyday Andrew comes home and heads to the trail behind our house with his bow. Those poor little squirrels and birdies. Can you even spot him in his camo gear?

I love it when I see this happening. I always try to sneak a picture without them looking.

Back at it. First day of school.

Isaac goes to Mayfield again to a modified kindergarten.

Andrew, Sam and Luke all ran in races for their grade level in Peace Hills and had a blast. Luke is wearing blue and white striped shirt and he insisted on wearing his soccer socks????

Then I also ran in a 10km race with some ladies. I trained over the summer for this race and was super happy with my time. 52.28. It was a night race along the river valley in Edm.

All the boys started swimming lessons.

Isaac had a fieldtrip to the zoo with his school so Emma and I went along.

We go to the zoo here to ride the train not so much to see the animals.

I spent two days making salsa with my friend Dianna. yum yum.

Another friend and I found these chairs hucked in the ditch close to the school. We picked a few up and tackled a fun make over project. Stay tuned for results in October's post.

My sweet friend Evelyn invited a few of us ladies out to Fort Edm park for a movie in the old theatre and we had a picnic before hand. It was so beautiful being in the park (an old heritage village) and all the fall colors were breath taking. The classic movie was cute too!

The meal is all packed for you. Just grab the basket and blanket and pick a location.

Isaac lost his first tooth.

 Ken attended  principal's conference in Washington for a few days. I took the kids on a bike outing to the river valley. We biked 10km on such a beautiful Fall day.

 

I absolutely love Fall and in Edmonton it is quite stunning. Not the red leaves they have on the east coast but still beautiful. One of my favorite seasons.
