February's highlights

 

Emma and I went skating at a local outdoor rink with Luke's class from school and a few other classes.

Emma got a new bed. Often the boys crawl in with her and read her stories. Ken and I both tuck her in some nights and have a little rest! Lots of room.

This is the same outdoor rink. Often this winter we would go here with the kids to burn some energy. Isaac pulling Emma.

I took Isaac to PICS school  for an afternoon so he could sit in on the kindergarten class there and get to know a few of the kids that might be in his class next year.

It's a very sweet class and they made Isaac feel at home right away.

Isaac, Emma, Melissa (Isaac's support worker) and I went on an outing to the telus world of science center. Pretty neat and pretty pricey!

Went to a craft workshop to make these signs with a great group of ladies.

Ken and I also had an overnight getaway to Pigeon Lake. What a treat.

Friend playdates. A few of the Rus's came over.

Found this cute little outfit at the thrift store and couldn't resist.

Isaac turns 6

Isaac had his 6th birthday on February 17. He is getting so big! We are predicting that he will be the tallest in our whole family.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for Isaac's birthday and stayed a few days. What a treat!

 

I made some cake pops to celebrate. Yummy and definitely less messy then cupcakes.

Isaac had his first birthday party with some friends from school and church.

Andrew's Fort Edmonton Fieldtrip

In the middle od February I joined Andrew on an overnight fieldtrip with his class to Fort Edmonton Park. It was a blast and so neat to meet his classmates.

Here they were learning about the Cree natives.

We then all got wear snowshoes and have races and play games.

They had a contest to build a travouis and then raced with other teams.

Storytime around a campfire. They also made bannock for a treat.

The whole crew of us. Us ladies got to sleep in this fort overnight.

 

To end the fieldtrip we all went skating at a park close by and had a yummy lunch.

New years Day festivities at Uncle Dwayne and Auntie Trixie's

Andrew got to drive the snowmobiles. He was stoked.



Just one of a hundred drawings for Emma. She painted this. She might just have to teach art to her future classes at school.

Our niece Karina and her hubby had their twin girls. So tiny and so special visiting them in the hospital!

Mommy, Emma and Isaac made a road trip to Coaldale to visit friends. We stayed with the Vanderheide's and had a blast as usual!

Tracy organized a girls night out with a bunch of great ladies. There just never seems to be enough time to catch up with everyone.
