More April

 Easter Break we got away for a few days to the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa.

 The boys tried to do some fishing.

 Daddy worked on Emma's rock throwing.

 Andrew and Sam used some of the money they made doing flyers to buy a castle lego set.

 Ken mudded and painted the playroom. Looks so much better.

 Mommy took Isaac and Emma on Sam's class fieldtrip to Aggie Days.

Emma Nancy turns two!

Our little Miss Emma turned two on April 23. What a two years it has been watching her grow up and blend into our family. She has so much spunk and personality.

This little girl  is a good mix. She likes playing in the sandbox and with cars one minute, and the next minute is obsessed with hair clips, shoes and dressing herself.
For her birthday she got money, hair clips, dress up princess clothes, a puppy that walks and barks (not a real one), string beads, a potty book and underwear, a necklace, girls lego kit, a new outfit from Nana and Papa as well as a new dress.
We celebrated as a family on her birthday with balloons and cake and presents and had extended family over Sunday evening for ice cream cake and hotdogs.



April Highlights

 I caught these two reading in front of the fireplace one day a few weeks ago, It just happened to be a plus 19 degree day.

 Isaac still pushes the trike around. He just may end up learning on a two wheeler and skip the trike.

 Yup this is Emma, always on a mission and in fast motion.

Mrs.Webber Isaac's speech teacher had a tea party with the kids one morning.

 Emma is growing up so fast. This morning she was trying to change the underwear on her dolly.

Isaac loves reading lately with anyone but especially Daddy.

 I drove Luke and some of his classmates  to the police station on a fieldtrip this month.

Ken and the boys went to Home Depot to pick up more things for more projects in the house. Fixing stiple on the ceiling.

 On Good Friday we went to Ang and Pete's for chilli and hotdogs. Weather was a bit lousy but it still was a blast.

 So Ken mudded the playroom today. It seriously took all day their  were so many nicks in the wall.

Girls Day Trip to Waterton

 I started the month of April off with a day trip to Waterton with 9 great gals from Coaldale and Taber.

The weather was great, company great and our picnic lunch was great!

I really enjoyed having a trip out to the mountains again. I will really miss going to Waterton and to the Cabin. We will have to explore and find some new favorites once we get to Edmonton.

I was mother helper for Luke's kindergarten class in March. The kids are always so excited for mommy to come in and see them in their class. Luke just looks at me and grins most of the time that I am there.

At least we get to enjoy the new stuff for a few months.

 So I had 16 porcelain dolls from my collection as a kid and from my mom's fetish of buying dolls out of magazines.

I chose a couple for niece Meisha and a few for Emma and gave the rest to the thrift store. This was super hard to do. At least I have a picture of them.

Our home is for sale. Kind of bittersweet. Excited to make new memories but sad to leave our house that we have moved into just married and brought 5 little ones home to from the hospital. We have done so many projects over the years together to make our home the way we wanted it. Landscaping, painting, floors etc. It was neat to make lists, save money, pick shrubs and a tree. Hopefully the next people that buy it will love it as much as we did!
