Happy 1st Birthday Isaac

So Isaac turned one yesterday. We had such a hard time trying to decide what to get him. What do you get the fourth boy in the family for his 1st birthday? I asked for advice on Facebook and here are a few of the suggestions: a puppy, kitten, wrap something up that we already have, or lego. We chose a ride on quad that has lots of buttons and makes quad sounds. Not sure who was the most excited about it. I've had to set the timer on the oven for two minute intervals so the boys can take turns.

Isaac at one:

• weighs 28 pounds and is (fill in later) inches long
• already has had one haircut and is due for another
• has flown to NS twice already. Lucky boy!
• has mastered crawling and now pulls himself up against chairs, tables, toys etc.
• doesn't seem to eager to start walking as of yet
• still has two naps a day 9am and 1pm.
• goes to bed at 7:30 and sleeps until 7:30-8ish. Awesome!
• Eats anything and everything that I give him.
• Wears his sleepsac when he naps and goes to bed and snuggles his soft blankie.
• When he's tired he sucks on his index finger and plays with his blankie.
• he still is quite the snuggle bear which I love. We had some great bonding time a few weeks ago when we flew to NS
• he is so content and will have naps here, there and everywhere.
• he never plays strange with anyone but can give people quite the staredowns without cracking a smile
• but when he does smile LOOK OUT! what a handsome little boy and charmer with his twinkly eyes, big smile and big cheeks.
• he wants to be with his brothers all of the time lately. If they leave the room he crawls as fast as he can to follow them.
• only says "mamamama" and "dadadadadadadada" so far.
• loves swimming and having baths.
• wears size 2 clothing already
• has a bit of a temper which I witnessed the other day. Sam took a toy away from him that he was playing with and Isaac started hollaring, crying and banging his fists on the floor. Things are about to start getting even more interesting in this household.

Well that about sums up where we are at with Isaac at one. We love our little boy to pieces and love how he fits into the family so perfectly! We can't/can wait to see how he grows and how his personality develops. We can't wait to see what his relationships are like with his brothers. We love you Baby Isaac, Happy Birthday!

Tracy turns 28.

So for those of you who don't know Tracy this is her, and her family of boys. Tracy is my dear friend that is turning 28 tomorrow. Yup she is my YOUNG dear friend. I can't believe I was 28 when I got married and she has four boys already at the age of 28. We have so much fun with all of our boys, and playing sports, and trying to get back in shape after having our boys and shopping, and chatting on the phone and being pregnant at the same time and I can't forget to mention all of our deal hunting. Anyways Tracy I hope you have a fantastic birthday celebrating with your beautiful family, I'm so blessed to have you as a friend!

Teacher: " Andrew, can you tell us more about your snowmobile? How long did it take you to make it?"

Andrew stands up and says: " like one minute" and sits back down.

Teacher: " What else can you tell us?"

Andrew: "That's all."

...and more baskets and bins. Ken thinks I am the Basket/Bin Queen. I can hardly make it back from Walmart or Superstore without buying more of them. I came home with six the other day and he asked what they were for and I chuckled and said no worries I will find something to put in them. Some people have shoe fetishes, some people smoke, some people drink lots of coffee...I buy baskets and bins. I think it's a fairly cheap fetish to have. Don't you?

The Leffers Bear Story!

This is Mama and Papa Bear's bed and it is much too big! It's so BIG that the 4 little Leffers Bear's all want to crawl in with Mama and Papa Bear.
This is Little Isaac Bear's crib and it is just right for a Baby Bear to sleep nice and cozy, and it is also just right for Mama and Papa Bear because Baby Bear can't get out!

This is Little Bear Luke's new bed and for some reason he doesn't find it just right for him. He tries to come into Mama and Papa Bear's bed numerous times every night. This causes Mama and Papa Bear to become Very Cranky Bear's that ROAR very loudly which sends Little Luke bear scurrying back to his room.

This is the Bigger Boy Bear's beds which they stay in just fine until the clock turns 7:00 sharp each morning, then they come racing into Mama and Papa Bear's bed to announce that there is a 7 on the clock!

All joking aside the Leffers Bear Family is very happy and cozy in a nice warm house and as long as the Mama and Papa Bear go to bed on time everything is just Right!

I just wanted to show all of the new bedding sets we've purchased in the last six months. I just love them! We took Luke out of his toddler bed and set up this twin bed that we got from Ang and Pete(Thanks Uncle Pete and Auntie Ang).

Starting 2011!

We had a fire and marshmellow roast with the boys. It was so cozy!

Andrew looking like a stunt skier. Grandma and Grandpa have a little pair of skis at the cabin for the kids to get started. Andrew was quite eager to learn. It's neat seeing how much he has changed in the last year from being so shy and timid to really wanting to experience new things. Great job Andrew!

So we spent a few days at the cabin with the kids and had a great time as usual. In a few years time it will be quite different when we hang out there, hopefully doing some skiing. I've only skied once there since I met Ken which seems so bizarre since his folks have a cabin right there. We've been busy with little ones! That's okay we really get to relax when we are there.
