February Highlights

K'nex inventions.

This month I bought lots of games at the thrift store. It's great seeing the kids play them. Scrabble is interesting when you see the words they come up with and make up. Boys!

Kids movie night.

Isaac and Emma went on a beading frenzy for a few days.

 It tasted as good as it looks.

 I found a cute Spring dress for Emma at the thrift store. She LOVED it!

 We made it out to an outdoor skating rink a few times. All the boys have jerseys now.

 Of course Emma wore a tutu.

 Through Isaac's school him and I got to go to  karate class workshop.

 Isaac is running to kick the pad held by the teacher.

 Isaac got a mini tramp for in the house as one of his birthday gifts. It's supposed to help him burn energy and regulate himself better. All the kids love it and mom has even gotten on it a few times.

 When I asked Isaac what kind of cake he wanted he asked for a dice so I delivered. Pretty easy actually.

 Gift opening. Isaac got some books, a mini tramp, a t-shirt, a lava lamp and some money.

 Oh he also got some markers from a friend that you draw on windows with. Every window in my house was decorated for a few weeks. Emma is drawing here.

 Plasticine was introduced to Sam at school and he made some cool animals with it. At home he used playdoh but had fun with it. Here is his rhino.

 The boys have been making soup with me lately, if you come here for soup on Sunday don't be alarmed if you get a rather large meatball or chunks of carrots or celery.

 We continue to work on reading more with the kids. Andrew seems to enjoy it the most.

 Another outdoor rink day. This time we invited lots of friends. It was so much fun!

 Isaac was so proud of himself for putting his pants on.

 He's getting better but right now the goal is just getting him to try to do these things on his own. His teacher tells me if he puts his stuff on wrong it's okay. Focus more on him attempting to do it himself then the fact that his boots are on the wrong feet etc. This task has been a challenge for a while. Take a lot of patience especially when Emma is completely dressing herself. We keep working at it!

I set the tent up in the basement for the boys one Friday night and Emma wasn't happy that she wasn't included so Andrew offered to have a sleepover with her in her room. It was so sweet. They read lots of books and slept in their sleeping bags.



Isaac's Year in Review. Talk about "Living the Good life!"

I went through our pictures since Isaac's birthday last year, and compiled some of my favorite pictures of Isaac and pictures of some of his favorite things to do. He s definitely a very blessed little boy and is loved very much.

 

 He is obsessed with trains and has been from day one.

In the last year he learnt his numbers and letters and loves pointing them out everywhere we go. He is especially fond of 8's and was hoping that he would turn 8 on his birthday instead of 5.

This past summer he finally mastered the trike and also learned how to ride a bike with training wheels.



He did this for a short stint of time. Always made us laugh. If we said we had to go or that he couldn't do something he wanted to do he would slump over and say awwww...
