A Summer of Hardwork...

 

 

10 year Anniversary Date Night

While Dad and Denise were here they graciously offered to babysit the kids for 2 days and over night so we could get away and take a break. We had booked a week long trip to Vancouver Island almost a year ago for our 10 year anniversary, but God had other plans for us when this job in Edm. came up and we decided to move. Moving resulted in us cancelling our trip. This getaway was such a treat and we enjoyed it immensely.

 First we went to Fort Edmonton...

 went on a train ride....

 checked out the fort and ate lunch in the historic town...

 went for a ride on the Ferris wheel...

 snuck in a few kisses....so romantic...

Ken showed me where he works every summer marking achievement tests for the government and walked around downtown... 

 waded in the legislature building wading pools. (it was plus 37 that day with the humidex)

 Bridge crossing the North Saskatchewan River...

Had some cool beverages at some pubs throughout the day and enjoyed dinner on a patio on Whyte Ave. and stayed at the Delta hotel downtown.
