We were so proud of Sam for going on the chair lift. He was resisiting a lot at first but decided to trust mommy and daddy and go for it.

We went to the cabin for the night with Ken's mom and dad and it happened to be Huckleberry festival at Castle Mountain. This included bands, huckleberry pancake breakfast, pig roast, and chair lift rides to the top of the mountain to pick berries. We had a great time hanging out and did the usual cabin stuff...steak dinner, big breakfast, quad rides, walks to the creek but the best of all was riding the chair lift to the top of the mountain to pick berries with the boys. What a beautiful view and what yummy berries. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Introducing Black Beauty Leffers...

So this is our latest addition to the family and I especially am loving this addition. It is a new to us Suburban. Seats 8. Andrew's comments were hilarious when we got it.
Andrew: "Mom we can still have lots more babies right? At least two more to fill up Black Beauty and then we will tell God to stop, that's enough because that's all we have room for. "
The mind of a 5 year old. Wow... Anyways I am a happy lady piling kids, groceries, bikes, bike cart you name it into this beauty and there is still lots of room. The only negative is it costs $135.00 to fill up.

Isaac turns 6 Months

• weighs approximately 22 pounds at 6 months old. I will know more accurately next week when he gets his needles.
• nurses 4 times a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and before bed
• has started rice cereal and loves it and has had corn for veggies so far.
• still sleeps through the night, goes to bed around 7-7:30ish and sleeps until 7-7:30ish.
• can pretty much sit up on his own but still tobbles over a bit.
• can roll from front to back and gets ticked off that he can't get back on his tummy to sleep. I refuse to flip him over each and every time so he has learned how to sleep on his back in the last week.
• jabbers away to anyone and everyone.
• has the sweetest, cutest little cry. I think I feel this way because he barely EVER cries. He is a dream of a baby.
• Has beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes that everyone comments on.
• loves playing in the exersaucer, sitting in the bumbo seat to eat and loves laying on the floor close to his brothers.
• I've started letting him play with the other three in the play room unsupervised and so far so good.
• he loves to have baths and needs to have baths frequently because he has so many rolls and creases to clean.
• no teeth yet.
• he has had one trip to outpatients at the hospital in Pincher Creek for a persistent fever. The nurses thought he was so adorable because he would try to whimper and cry but couldn't help smiling at the pretty nurses who were paying so much attention to him.
• Daddy says he growls a lot.
• he loves going in floaty toys at the beach or in the pool
• still gets out for lots of bike rides in the bike cart with Big brother Luke.
• naps three times a day. 1long nap in the morning, 1 long nap in the afternoon and a shorter one in the evening that will probably be cut out shortly.
• he pinches like a lobster anything he can get his hands on, hair, neck, faces, toys etc.
• wears size 18-24 month clothes already and is in size 4 diapers.
• Thankfully he is not a pukey baby like his brothers, he manages to stay in the same outfit all day.
• he is content to just be plopped down in the exersaucer to watch the busyness in our house.
• sadly we sometimes forget about him because he is so quiet and good.
• is constantly called "issick" rather than "Isaac". I didn't even think this would be an issue but apparently there is some confusion on how to pronounce his name.
• loves his soft, furry blankie and tag toys.

My brave boys.Waterton has the best icecream that I can find in all of AB. $15.00 for 2 single scoops, 2 child cones and 1 baby cone. Just a little pricey but worth every penny.

Frank Slide Crowsnest Pass AB

Our last holiday of the summer was to to the cabin for 5 nights. One of our outings was to the town of Frank in the Crowsnest Pass where part of a mountain came crumbling down years ago on the town. The rocks are huge. It's pretty neat to check out.
